These days (18 February 2006) in Berlin (Germany) the Teddy Award will be presented.

"The non-profit organization Förderverein TEDDY e.V. (TEDDY Sponsorship Society; founded in 1987) is determined to launch the TEDDY awards, valued and respected by the industry, the media, and the public, into a new era.
The foundation's first aim is to create a fund to make the TEDDY into a cash award to promote the work of gay and lesbian film workers. The foundation also intends to support other film projects, spread information on gay / lesbian films and film workers, and especially to awaken the public consciousness about the presence of lesbians and gays in the film industry."
Hopefully the films will be also produced on DVD as well, so we (non-Berliners) can see them as well. :)
